Pleats are Back

How do we feel about pleated pants? I grew up wearing school uniforms until I got to college and they always included a pleated pant. I just thought they were the norm! Even all my non-school pants and shorts were pleated, so when I showed up to college with all those pleats my friends definitely had something to say. I remember showing up to a party with my favorite shorts and a friend shouted in front of everyone, “Okay but what is UP with the pleated shorts?! You look like an old man!” And that was the last time I wore pleated pants until recently 🤣 Cut to (redacted) years later and I’m happy to see them have their comeback!

I got these ASOS DESIGN oversized tapered smart pants in navy last year and have just been dying to finally wear them out! I couldn’t figure out what to wear with them and then I remembered this Madewell camp shirt and the colors could not be a better match! I paired them with my prized COMME des GARÇONS Converse and was ready to hit the grocery store because that’s the most exciting part of my day.
